    Built between 1887 and 1897 by François Couttet, the former Hôtel de l’Europe is an integral part of Chamonix’s history.

    Witness to the archives of the time, advertisements boasted “L’Hotêl de l’Europe, opposite the post office, restaurant, attentive service, moderate prices, electric light, bathrooms, garages for automobiles, English and German spoken, and recently built and equipped with the latest comforts.”

    A landmark welcoming mountain enthusiasts, it was a haven of memories for over half a century before ceasing its hotel activity to rent out rooms to workers involved in the construction of the Mont-Blanc Tunnel starting from 1960.

     

    Initially comprising 80 rooms, later transformed into apartments over time, the former Hôtel de l’Europe is turning a new page in its history and preparing to welcome 12 apartments under the name of the Residence de l’Europe.

    The façade, the envelope of this beautiful story, will be restored while preserving its Chamonix character, and the building will be adorned with a new roof and new slabs between floors to offer shell apartments for sale.

    “Les Cosmiques” comprises two buildings of controlled size, giving it a timeless charm.

    Building A comprises 18 apartments from T2 to T4, spread over four levels. The second building, Building B, is divided into 10 apartments from T3 to T4, spread over three levels. The basements of the buildings are reserved for cellars, ski lockers and parking spaces, the latter unenclosed as forbidden by municipal regulations. Each level will be served by an elevator.

    The apartments will be delivered with fully equipped kitchens, including washing machines. In keeping with the image of the development, the materials offered will be of the highest quality, with a wide choice to choose from.
    All apartments will benefit from underfloor heating, connected to the individual boiler.
    For added comfort, a pre-equipped remote heating system will be installed. The ambience will be oriented towards a mountain/contemporary spirit, as we have proposed on several occasions on our previous programs, notably our latest project in Les Houches.
    The lots shown below correspond to plans that do not comply with accessibility standards. Of course, the building complies with regulations, so you can obtain a PMR-compliant floor plan on request.
